Day 01: NewJalpaiguri(NJP) Railway Station / Bagdogra(IXB) Airport – Phuentsholing (170 kms / 4 hrs)
You are greeted at the Newjalpaiguri(NJP) Railway Station /Bagdogra(IXB) Airport and driven to Phuentsholing - The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India and a thriving commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Stay back for the night at the hotel in Phuentsholing.
Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu (176 kms / 6 hr)
After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and head for an unforgettable trip to Thimphu (7,710 ft.), the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Spend the night in your hotel Thimphu.
Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing.
After breakfast, make a trip to the King's Memorial Chorten (Monument), Changangkha Monastery, National Zoo (Contains National Animal Takin), National Library, BBS Tower, Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, School of Arts and Crafts, National Institute of Traditional Medicine and Traditional Paper Factory (where the papers are made from the Daphne plant). Spend the night in your hotel at Thimphu.
Day 04: Thimphu – Punakha / Wangdue Sightseeing (77 kms / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, take the roadway to Punakha / Wangdue Phodrang (4,300 ft.) via the scenic Dochu-La-Pass (10,170 ft.). On the way, visit the sacred Chimi Lhakhang - The Temple of Fertility built in 15th century. Also pause at the Punakha Dzong. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure. Spend the night at the hotel in Punakha.
Day 05: Punakha – Paro (140 kms / 5 hrs)
Have your breakfast and get ready for a trip to Wangdue Dzong. From there, make way to Paro (7,483 ft.). On reaching, check in at the hotel. Save the afternoon for an unforgettable trip to the Ta Dzong National Museum which houses a rare collection of Bhutanese antiquities. After that, also explore the Rinpung Dzong - the administrative seat of the district of Paro. In the evening, indulge in your leisure activities and call it a day at the hotel.
Day 06: Paro Sightseeing
Take your breakfast and make a visit to Drukgyel Dzong. Then make a trip to the famous Taktsang Monastery - called “Tiger's Nest” (an adventurous 2 hrs hike from the base camp) & Kitchu monastery. Come back to your hotel at Paro and retire for the night.
Day 07: Paro – Phuentsholing (200 kms / 7 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and return all the way back to Phuentsholing, your starting point. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Retire for the night at the hotel in Phuentsholing.
Day 08: Phuentsholing – Newjalpaiguri(NJP) Railway Station / Bagdogra(IXB) Airport (170 kms / 4 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and take the roadway to Newjalpaiguri(NJP) Railway Station / Bagdogra(IXB) Airport for your onward journey.
